AS A SOPHOMORE (2011-12):

The Basics:
· Played in all 36 of the Rams’ contest making starts in 33 of those games.
· Finished the year with averages of 3.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

Highlights:
· Recorded his first career double-double against Towson on Feb. 8. He set career highs in points (10) and rebounds (11) and hit 5-of-9 from the field that night.
· Pulled in seven boards in the Rams’ second round game of the NCAA Tournament against Wichita State.
· Picked up eight rebounds in two games last season and seven in two others.

One of five siblings, including two brothers (Tony and Donald) and two sisters (Krystal and Jessica)
Father played four years of basketball at the University of California in the early 80's

Highlights:
· Earned a starting nod in the final nine contests of the season, including all six NCAA Tournament games.
· Played double-digit minutes in 10 of the final 12 games and averaged 3.1 points and 2.2 rebounds.
· Had a huge performance in VCU’s 94-76 upset of Purdue in the Round of 32, including six points and three rebounds against All-American JaJuan Johnson.
· Shot 67 percent from the field (16-for-24) over the final 15 games

PRIOR TO VCU:

· Intelligent on and off the court.  Recorded a 4.0 high school GPA and has aspirations of becoming an engineer.
· Nominated to play in the McDonald’s All-America game after an outstanding senior year.
· Averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks per game for the Falcons during his senior year.
· Praised for his knack for cleaning up the glass and causing major issues for opponents with his shot-blocking ability.
· Received interest from Iowa State from the Big 12, Colorado from the Pac-12, Drake from the Missouri Valley Conference and a multitude of Ivy League schools such as Penn and Harvard.
