ATLANTA, Ga. – Winning is contagious and usually brings about great television. That's a big reason why a game between two of the hottest teams in the Colonial Athletic Association has now been added to the TV schedule.
On January 28th, the VCU men's basketball team will head to Atlanta to take on the Panthers of Georgia State, who are currently on a seven-game winning streak. The game was originally slated for 2 p.m., but Charter Sports Southeast has decided to add the game to the TV schedule and move it to a 4 p.m. tip time.
Exact details for broadcast in the Richmond area are still being worked out and will be provided as soon as possible.
With the changes, VCU will have a minimum of 27 televised games during the regular season. That mark shatters last year's record of 23 televised contests.
In the meantime, the Rams will be looking to extend another school-record with a seventh straight sellout this Saturday against UNCW. Tip time at the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center is set for 7 p.m.
