ON THE SCENE: RAMS MAKING APPEARANCES AROUND TOWN, COUNTRY

RICHMOND, Va. – Over the course of the past two weeks, the terms "VCU" or "VCU Basketball" have been typed into internet search sites millions and millions of times.

That popularity hasn't stopped now that their record-breaking season has concluded as the Black & Gold will be seen and heard around the country numerous times over the next week.

Check out their appearance schedule here:

  • The entire VCU men's basketball team and coaching staff will be honored at the General Assembly on Wednesday at 12 p.m.
  • Head Coach Shaka Smart will appear on both Hardly Workin' with Greg Burton (ESPN Radio 950) and the Wes McElroy show (Sports Radio 910) on Wednesday afternoon.
  • Senior point guard Joey Rodriguez will be on "Lopez Tonight" on Wednesday night at midnight EST. "Lopez Tonight" can be seen following "Conan" on TBS.
  • Senior forward Jamie Skeen will participate in the annual Portsmouth Invitational beginning on Wednesday night. More information on the tournament can be found here.
  • Senior guard Brandon Rozzell will toss out the first pitch at the season opener for the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Thursday night. Game time at the Diamond is set for 7:05 p.m. Rozzell will make his toss at approx. 6:50 p.m. The Squirrels are encouraging fans to paint the Diamond Black & Gold on Thursday and holding a special section just for VCU students, faculty, athletes and alumni.
