RICHMOND, Va. – The passion of the VCU men's basketball fan base stretches way beyond the state lines of Virginia.
Knowing that, the VCU athletic department has partnered with Comcast SportsNet-Plus to broadcast the Black & Gold's road game against conference foe William & Mary on January 12th. It will be the second meeting between the two schools this year, with the Rams taking the first one, 59-55, on December 5th in Richmond.
"We had the opportunity to partner with Comcast and SkyTV Productions to pick up this additional game for our fans and decided it was too good to pass up," VCU Associate Athletic Director for Corporate Sponsorships and Broadcasting Robby Robinson said. "There is a hard cost to VCU Athletics to get a game like this on a regional television network like Comcast Sports Net Plus, but to be able to bring a conference road game to the television sets of our fans is worth that expense."
For those fans who aren't able to make the trek to Williamsburg, you can tune into CSN-Plus on Comcast, DirectTV, the Dish Network, Verizon Fios and all the major cable providers.
