RICHMOND, Va. - Adjusting to the college game takes time and a lot of studying. Freshman big man D.J. Haley knows all about studying as the honor roll student out of California was being recruited by many Ivy League schools and has a desire to enter the engineering field after his career on the hardwood is over.
Haley has been a nice compliment down low for the Black & Gold early on this year and has shown flashes of a great future at VCU. Prior to this weekend's conference opener against William & Mary, VCUathletics.com sat down with Haley to get to know him off the court...
