The skinny: VCU will seek its 11th all-time conference championship in men's golf, but first in the Atlantic 10 Conference, April 26-28 at the league's championship tournament in Coral Springs, Fla. In addition to conference bragging rights, an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional is at stake for the winning team.

VCU, directed by 14th-year Coach Matt Ball, seeks its first conference crown since a Colonial Athletic Association title in 2009. The Rams won four CAA Championships under Ball's direction.

The Rams are paced by freshman Adam Ball, whose 73.64 stroke average leads the team. The youngest son of Coach Ball, Adam has posted three top-10 finishes in five spring tournaments. Fellow rookie Steffen Harm (74.45 stroke avg.) and junior Matt Ball Jr. (75.24) have also been strong this spring for VCU. Freshman Jake McNulty (75.52) and junior Rocky Khara (75.66), who placed second at the 2010 CAA Championships, round out VCU's formidable lineup.
