Rams Earn Atlantic-10 All-Conference, All-Academic Team Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Senior Kendall Farino and freshman Emily McNamara were named to All-Atlantic-10 Teams when the end of season conference awards were announced earlier today. McNamara earned 2nd Team All-Conference and All-Rookie honors. Farino received All-Academic recognition.

McNamara was one of the biggest offense threats in the conference. The freshman led the Rams in goals, assists, and points during her rookie campaign. Overall, the forward ranked 5th in points, 6th in goals, and 9th in assists in the A-10. "We are very happy to hear that Emily has been recognized as one of the top freshmen in the A-10 this season. She has been a key contributor to our attacking line and fully deserves this recognition", said head coach Laura Baker.

Farino started every game for the Rams this season, handing out three assists. During her four years in the Black and Gold, the midfielder has recorded three scores, nine assists, and starts in all 70 games played in. "Kendall's recognition as a member of the A-10 Academic squad is a great achievement for her. Kendall has held herself to very high academic standards throughout her time at VCU and she has juggled the demands of being an athlete and a student at the highest level possible with aplomb."

The senior is an HPEX Exercise Science major and has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA through her collegiate career.
