"It was, without a doubt, the best hockey we've played," VCU Head Coach Kelly McQuade said. "We made some really great connections and the girls are doing some great things. It's really exciting to see. We're getting there."
Junior Erin Jablonski (Charlottesville, Va.) made five saves in goal for the Rams, who were outshot, 15-3 and outcornered, 10-3.
VCU returns to action on Friday, Sept. 3 when the Rams host Northwestern at Cary Street Field at 3 p.m.
