Prior to VCU
- Lead Emmaus High School to an overall record of 98-6-1 during an outstanding four-year career.
- Helped spur the Hornets to a State Championship as a sophomore in 2007. Emmaus was also a state quarterfinalist in 2008 and 2009, and reached the state semis during McNelis’ freshman year in 2006.
- A driving force behind four straight conference and district titles.
- Won the gold medal in the 2006 and 2007 Keystone State Games, silver in 2008, and bronze in 2009.
- Participant at Pennsylvania’s Futures Elite site from 2004-2009.
- Was named to the all-star team at the Princeton Elite Field Hockey Camp in 2007.
