Greene Named to VaSID All-State Second Team

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU redshirt junior pitcher Seth Greene (pictured right) was named a Second Team All-State starting pitcher by the Virginia College Sports Information Directors (VaSID), announced on Friday.

The Richmond, Va. native finished the season making 19 appearances and eight starts for the Black and Gold. Green finished the season with a 5-1 record, two saves ,a 2.90 ERA, 38 strikeouts and 68.1 innings pitched.

VCU finished the season 28-26 with a 12-12 record in their first season as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

VaSID is comprised of sports information or athletics communications professionals from intercollegiate institutions throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Membership is open to any individual affiliated with one of the state's institutions at the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, USCAA and community college levels, provided that individual's area of responsibility lies within the realm of sports information.
