Cujas and Cullen Named to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper’s All-America Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Collegiate Baseball Newspaper released their 2013 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Teams on Monday. Juniors Bill Cullen and Joey Cujas garnered third team honors.

Cullen finished the 2012 season with a .347 batting average, 90 hits, 25 doubles, nine triples (second in the country) and hit five home runs. He was named to the All-CAA Third Team following the season. The Colonial Heights, Va. native received Second Team NCBWA Preseason All-America honors earlier this month.

Cujas hit .390, had 87 base hits, 21 doubles, two triples, three home runs and 49 RBI's in 2012. He led the team in average, and runs batted in. The Midlothian, Va. native was named All-CAA First Team following last season.

VCU was the only program in the Atlantic 10 who had a player honored on the Collegiate Baseball All-America teams.

The Rams open the 2013 campaign on Feb. 15 against Boston College in the Country Inn and Suites Elon Invitational.
