GETTING TO KNOW: SENIOR JOSH ALFORD

RICHMOND, Va. – "Getting to Know" will be a weekly feature that will highlight student-athletes from the 16 intercollegiate athletic programs that make up Ram Nation. Each week, VCU Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant Marle van Dessel will chat it up with selected athletes to get inside their world and let us know a little more about themselves.

The second edition of GTK features senior Josh Alford from the baseball team. The veterean right-hander has been a valuable part of the VCU bullpen since his arrival, logging a career-high 24 appearances last year for the Black & Gold. A four-sport athlete in high school Alford gives the Rams depth with the ability to play the field as well.

With his final season at VCU starting in just a few weeks, Alford sat down and gave us a little more of an in-depth look at himself.
