The High School Days
Frequent Siegel Center Visitor: On his recruiting visit to VCU, Daniels didn’t need to get any directions to the Siegel Center, since the William Fleming standout had played in three straight VHSL AAA State Tournaments, including two appearances in the championship game, played at the arena. (2007, 2009).
Class of the Commonwealth: After posting an average of 17 points and six rebounds during his senior campaign, Daniels earned Virginia High School Coaches’ Association AAA First-Team All-State honors for the Colonels.
Just in the Nick of Time: Daniels was Mr. Clutch for William Fleming, knocking two buzzer-beaters to clinch victories during his senior year.
Might Need a Bigger Trophy Case: His senior year , Daniels earned a lot of recognition, including Northwest Region Player of the Year and the Roanoke Times Player of the Year.
Is This Tax Deductible?: Daniels made his trips to the charity stripe count, knocking down over 85 percent of his free throws during his senior season.
Among the Best: Rivals.com rated Daniels a three-star prospect and among the best shooters in the state of Virginia, while Scout.com had him ranked as the 35th-best shooting guard in the country.

I Choose You: Before finalizing his commitment to the Rams, Daniels drew interest from Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Kentucky, Marshall, Marquette, N.C. State and Cincinnati.
Dialing Long Distance: He hasn’t played a game with his new teammates, but already Daniels has made an impression. He earned five votes and tied with teammate Jay Gavin as the player on this year’s roster to most likely win a three-point shooting contest.
TD going for TDs: When not in class or at practice, Daniels can be found enhancing his video game skills, particularly the latest version of Madden NFL Football from EA Sports.
