Jay Loehner joined the Virginia Commonwealth University athletic training staff in August of 2016, overseeing men’s and women’s track and field and cross country teams. He comes to VCU after working with the Indiana University track and field and cross country teams.
A native of Danvers, Massachusetts, Jay received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Ithaca College and most recently, his Master of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University.
Prior to Indiana, Jay was a summer intern in the Washington Nationals and Toronto Blue Jays farm systems working primarily in the short season A and AA levels. Jay is a member of the National Athletic Training Assocation and Collegiate Athletic Training association. He is certified in both Graston Technique and FMS.
