Kristen Treadwell, ATC, enters her first year as a full-time
Athletic Trainer with VCU Athletics. She is no stranger to the
department as she spent the last year (2009-2010) interning with
the women's field hockey and men's and women's tennis squads. Prior
to her time with the Rams, Treadwell completed her clinical
rotations which consisted of stints at Deep Run High School,
Virginia Union University, VCU Medical Center, VCU Sports Medicine,
and the University of Richmond.
Treadwell also serves as an Athletic Trainer for the United States
Field Hockey Association's Futures Program. During the summer of
2010, she covered Field Hockey, Men's Soccer and Men's and Women's
Basketball camps held at VCU.
Treadwell received her Masters of Science in Athletic Training
from Virginia Commonwealth University in May of 2009. In May of
2004, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Human Nutrition, Food
& Exercise with a concentration of Exercise and Health
Promotion from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
(Virginia Tech University) in Blacksburg, VA.
A graduate of Colonial Heights High School, Kristen and her
husband, Joe, currently reside in Richmond, Va.
