Harris is a graduate of Barton College, where he earned his B.S. double majoring in Athletic Training and Fitness Management. He was a four-year member of the Barton College men’s soccer team.
Prior to his position at VCU, Harris worked at his alma mater as a certified athletic trainer. He worked with the men’s and women’s track and field, cross country, and golf teams. Harris also assisted with the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Prior to his employment at Barton College, he worked with Athletic Republic of Winston-Salem, where he trained athletes across a variety of ages, skill levels, and sports.
His interests include orthopedic rehabilitation, including the use of manual therapy, functional assessment and testing, and outcome assessment. He is an active member of the NATA and NCATA. He is an Alumni advisor for the student Athletic Training Club at Barton College.
Harris resides in Richmond, and values an active lifestyle. He enjoys sporting and outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and biking; as well as playing and listening to music. He is developing himself into a talented chef.
