A member of the VCU Athletic Department since 2002, Tony Hobbs serves as the Assistant Director for Facility Operations.
Hobbs is responsible for facility operations at VCU's athletic venues, including game management of home athletic contests overseeing setups and teardowns for special events hosted by the Siegel Center.
Prior to joining VCU, Hobbs served a distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps honorably retiring after 22 years’ service to our country.
In his leisure time, Hobbs can be found at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Aylett, Virginia where he serves as the Minister of Music. In July of 2016, he was bestowed the Honorary Doctor of Music Ministry Degree and Community Service Degree.
A native of Petersburg, Va. Hobbs has traveled the world while in the Marine Corps. He now calls Chester home where he resides with his wife, Sherri, their daughters Alexis and Andrea and their faithful canine son Saxe.
