Nate Doughty serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Event Management after coming to VCU in 2001 as the Associate Director of the Siegel Center and Athletic Facilities.
Doughty is responsible for event management and facility operations at VCU's athletic venues, including game management of home athletic contests and overseeing the special events hosted by the Siegel Center. He prioritizes & schedules over 1000 events each year.
Prior to joining VCU, Doughty served as the Director of Stadium Operations for the Richmond Braves from 1996-2001, and as Assistant to the Facility Director of the Portland Sea Dogs, from 1995-96.
Doughty graduated with distinction from the University of Maine in 1994 with a B.S. in Physical Education, Teaching & Coaching. He received his M.A. in Sports Administration with honors from the University of Northern Colorado in 1995.
Originally from Winthrop, Maine, Doughty and his wife, Beth, currently reside in Hanover with their daughters Campbell and Kaycee, and son CJ.
