Greenwood began working at VCU in February 2012 with the main task of creating, implementing, and overseeing the VCUConnect program.

VCUConnect is a full-service career development program for student athletes that helps them focus on personal connections, intellectual and professional growth.  In the first seven months, over 35 students earned a summer internship or full time position through the use of VCUConnect.

Prior to joining VCU, Greenwood worked at a law firm in Richmond as a licensed attorney.

He graduated from the University of Richmond law school in 2011. While in law school he worked for the NHL franchise, the Nashville Predators, in the general counsel's office.  With the Predators, he oversaw the drafting and execution of sponsorship and trade agreements, suite licensing and facility use agreements, and intellectual property rights licensing.  Greenwood assisted the general counsel with a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding.  He also worked alongside the sales and marketing teams to increase season ticketing and corporate sponsorship revenue.

Prior to law school, he worked at the University of Virginia as an academic advisor where he oversaw the academic plans for eight sports over the course of two years.

Before that Greenwood interned at UVA with the senior associate AD for programs and the executive associate AD, while earning his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from UVA.

He finished his B.S. in Kinesiology in '05 from UVA. While an undergrad, he swam and earned All-American accolades.  Upon graduation he was the school and ACC record holder in the 200 and 400 IM.

Greenwood is a native of Goochland County and attended Goochland High School.  He and his wife Megan, a fellow All-American swimmer from UVA, live in Church Hill.
