ROLLINS ROLLS TO VICTORY AT LEGENDS RENO-TAHOE OPEN

RICHMOND, Va. – With only one major left in the 2009 PGA TOUR season, John Rollins is coming together at exactly the right time.

The former Virginia Commonwealth University golf standout picked up his third career PGA TOUR victory on Sunday when he rolled to a 17-under at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open, en route to a three-shot victory.

Rollins opened the tournament with a two-under par, 70 on Friday before blistering the course for a career-best 62 on Saturday to grab a hold of the tournament lead. A lead he would never relinquish thanks to a 67 on Saturday and a 72 on Sunday.

The victory is the first in over three years for Rollins, who last won on July 23, 2006 when he posted a 19-under at the B.C. Open.

Rollins, a Richmond native, now sits in the top-20 in the FedEx Cup standings with back-to-back top-10 finishes after his eighth-place showing at the Buick Open last week.

He has already matched a career-high with four top-10 finishes in 2009.

At next weekend’s PGA Championship in Chaska, Minn., Rollins will be paired with Ken Duke and Tim Weinhart for the first two rounds of play with tee time set for 1:55 EST.
