53 STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN SPOT ON ATLANTIC 10 COMMISSIONER'S SPRING HONOR ROLL

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – On the field, VCU Athletics had one of its most successful years in program history. However, that success was not limited to just the field of play. It carried over into the classroom.

A total of 53 VCU student-athletes were honored for that classroom success recently when the Atlantic 10 announced the Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll. To earn Commissioner’s Honor Roll a student-athlete must be play on an Atlantic 10 sponsored sport and have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Of VCU’s 53 student athletes earned commissioner’s honor roll, 11 athletes were on the field hockey team, seven from women’s soccer and women’s track and field, five from men’s soccer and tennis, four from men’s track and field and volleyball, three from golf, two from baseball and women’s tennis, and one athlete from men’s basketball and women’s cross country.
