In four seasons as head coach at VCU, Shaka Smart has become one of the hottest commodities in all of college basketball. His 111 wins is the second most by any coach in the first four seasons of their coaching career and he has taken the Rams to three straight NCAA Tournaments, including a magical run to the Final Four in 2011.

But the 14 players on his team aren't the only student-athletes that can benefit from the instruction of Coach Smart and his staff. Students entering grades three through 12 may attend the 2013 Shaka Smart Basketball Camps held in the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center to discover how to succeed on and off the court.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game under the tutelage of college and youth coaches as well as former and current VCU Rams. They may also form memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

Cost: $250, if registered before May 15; $275, after May 15.  Cost includes lunch each day, camp t-shirt, camp basketball. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
