2008/Sophomore: The athletic righty played in 13 games for the Rams, starting in seven… Posting a 8.85 ERA over 40.2 innings during the season…Record of 1-6…(3/16) Pitched 7.1 a start against Manhattan…(4/25) Allowed no hits in a 1.2 inning relief appearance against James Madison, striking-out two.

2007/Freshman: Ranked third in team in games started and fourth in innings pitched... Posted a 3-5 mark with an ERA of 4.02, fourth-best on the team... In 65.0 innings pitched, allowed just 66 hits, while walking just 16 and striking out 47... Nearly became just the third pitcher in VCU history to toss a no-hitter as he took his no-hit bid into the eighth inning against cross-town rival Richmond, before surrending a solo shot in 10-1 win (4/4)... Picked up first collegiate win in his first collegiate start, tossing five innings and allowing just one earned run against Iona (3/12)... Posted career-high seven strikeouts in 7.1 innings against Delaware, taking a tough 2-1 loss (5/13).

2006/Freshman: Redshirted.

Prior to VCU: Three-sport standout at Varina High School... Four-year letter-winner in baseball and basketball for the Blue Devils, as well as a three-year letter-winner in volleyball... Named co-captain for the baseball squad during his senior season... Captain and MVP of basketball team for his senior year... Captain, team MVP, All-District, All-Region, All-Metro, and All-State selection in volleyball for his senior season... Named the 2005 Richmond Times-Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the Year.
