Recorded 45 strikeouts compared to just 18 base-on-balls... Went eight innings in home win over Liberty, striking out four and allowing only one run (3/4)... Posted seven strikeouts against second-ranked North Carolina (3/12)... Allowed on two earned runs and earned victory in 16-2 dominating win over CAA foe, Northeastern (4/12)... Tossed seven strong innings against Hofstra, allowing only one run on five hits in the win (5/10).

2007/Sophomore (Louisburg JC): Battled through nagging injuries to make 12 appearances, all in relief... Posted an 0-1 record with 18 strikeouts in just 19 innings of work for Louisburg... Finished his two-year career with a 4.57 ERA for the Hurricanes

2006/Freshman (Louisburg JC): Appeared in 10 games for the Hurricanes, making two starts... Finished the year with a 3-1 mark and a 3.95 ERA... Tallied 27.1 innings pitched, allowing just 23 hits... Notched 29 strikeouts, while walking just 13.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, Va., same high school as former Ram standout John Leonard... During his senior season, he earned Second-Team All-Beach District honors for the Knights.

Personal: Son of Donald and Melissa Thomas... Born on April 20, 1987... Majoring in Criminal Justice... Cousin, Nathan, was a left-handed pitcher with the Chicago Cubs organization during the 1993 and 1994 seasons.
