2008/Sophomore: Pitched in 15 games, all out of the bullpen, for the Rams... in 25 innings of work, posted 24 strikeouts with 2-0 record and one save... Tossed 2.1 innings of perfect relief with six strikeouts in home win over Seton Hall (2/29)... Against Virginia Tech, worked four innings allowing only two runs and struck out two (4/9)... Tallied five strikeouts in road win against James Madison (4/26).

2007/Freshman: Appeared in five games for the Rams last season... Totaled six innings of work, posting six strikeouts... Made collegiate debut against nationally-ranked San Diego on February 17, allowing only one earned run in two innings of work... Notched two strikeouts in an one-inning against Hofstra (4/28).

Prior to VCU: Three-sport athlete for Sussex Central High School... Earned varsity letters in baseball, football and basketball for the Tigers... Won the football state championship his sophomore season... Baseball regular season and tournament champions his senior season.

Personal: Son of Freddie and Sandra Stringfield... His father played baseball at Coppin State.
